The Process
The process of developing a glass form is not a simple achievement. Consideration must be given to the different types of glass (clear, colored, opalescent, dichroic etc., the compatibility of these combinations is essential. Anne only uses glass that has a co efficiency of 90. This may sound like Greek to the average guy, but glass expands and contracts at various temperatures and if the glasses used in a piece are not compatible then undue stress will occur within the glass piece and cause undesirable effects such as cracking. All of her work... ....Heart Pendants, Fish Pendants, Cross Pendants, Wine Stoppers. Earrings and Special Pendants has a consistent co-efficiency of 90.
It is also important to keep in mind a
suitable firing schedule. Anne prefers to raise the kiln temperature
moderately fast, hold and then cool slowly. This process
strengthens (anneals) the glass. Having a specific design in mind with
an idea of colors and layering, Anne initially cuts the glass pieces by
hand. After the first firing, the piece is shaped with a wet band saw

Anne is known for her unusually beautiful
heart shaped pendants. Each heart is shaped by hand. Anne never uses molds.
If for any reason her clients and not perfectly satisfied, she stands behind her work 100%.
If a piece breaks she will repair it, if possible, and in most cases, at no charge.
Anne has great pride knowing that any piece you
buy is a piece of art that she really enjoyed making.
specifically designed for glass work. Further shaping is achieved
by grinding the edges. The piece is re-fired and then reworked before
the third firing. When the glass is thoroughly cooled, it is cleaned
with warm water and soap. At this point Anne etches her name in
the piece, Very often with a particular series she will number
each piece.
